Harry Reid Still Hasn't Answered for Negro Head

Quiverdaddy seems to have scooped the Washington Post on a story of major national importance.  While they were quibbling over a little rock on Rick Perry's leased hunting ranch, they totally overlooked the mountain in Harry Reid's backyard with a now familiar name.

Last year, Prison Planet did an expose on alleged vote fraud centered in the Reid home base of Clark County, Nevada, where Reid's son is county commissioner. What's so special about Reid's home county? You guessed it,among their most prominent landmarks is a peak named, "Negro Head Peak".  The original name was the same as the evil rock on Rick Perry's private hunting ranch. So why isn't the Washington Post all over this demanding that Harry Reid have his hometown mountain whitewashed?

Unlike Rick Perry, who had his rock painted over and eventually overturned, Harry Reid has yet to move on correcting the horrible injustice in his own backyard.  True, the peak was renamed "Negro Head Peak" at the urging of Ladybird Johnson decades ago to make it less offensive, but the Senate Majority Leader should know by now that in the 21st Century, Negro Head is just as offensive.   If he's not sure, perhaps he could ask Herman Cain for advice.

Quiverdaddy urges everyone to call the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3542  and ask Harry Reid to author a bill renaming the mountain "Cain's Peak" -- or at least something less offensive than the racial slur du jour.
